Once upon a time, there was a Yummy Mummy named Katherine LaFlamme who lived in Vancouver.
Like many mummies, after the birth of her first child she felt she had lost a piece of her identity. Instead of laying in bed, waiting for a knight in shining armour to come save her, she took matters into her own hands.
"Being a mother is not a liability" she thought, "Being a mother means we are stronger and more resourceful than ever, and damn it, we're sexy too!"
So began the Pin-Up Girls collection which was featured by the Yummy Mummy Club in 2008. The story evoked passionate, emotional and controversial feedback from our readers, some agreeing with Katherine's vision, some adamantly against it.
The Yummy Mummy Club was so impressed with Katherine's "yummy is not a one size only" vision that we asked her to create a diverse group of mummies embracing their yumminess for our front page.
We think it's fab.....what's your opinion?

Katherine LaFlame created this fab collage of diverse Yummy Mummies. Recently Sean Douglas Sheppard sent us this email: I think your Mummy picture is good, but it would be really cool if it was not a cartoon. If it was a picture of real live Mommies and children that would be even better.
Sean's right! Which is why we want you to submit your picture so we can create a collage showing the diversity and beauty of what Yummy Mummies really look like.
They can be candid, formal, silly or serious - have fun with it! After all...you're a Yummy Mummy.
