Author Profile:

I'm a mother of one daughter, she is now grown. However, raising an "only" is time consuming, as a Mom, I'm her everything. Not only her Mom, as her social event planner I'm "IT".....Always organizing play dates, and filling in as her playmate on those days when everyone is busy.

About my kids:
My daughter was involoved in so many activities. Ballet, Jazz, Swim Team, Camps, Bok clubs. She was recognized as "exceptional" and needed greater challenges at school than the average child. Always busy reading, taking courses and becoming a swim instructor, volunteering at trhe local hospital, foodbank, helping her friends with schoolwork. She was exceptionally smart and determined to do everything and try everything.
Parenting is...:
the most worth while and frustrating experience. It's all consuming, using every spare minute of your day, and even your lasts minutes before falling to sleep at night, as you go over events of the day and think about how you handled the issues of the day. Was I fair? Did I allow room for free thought and choice for my child? Were the boundries I set reasonable? Did my child have a happy day? Raising a daughter is all consuming.
